This green and gold inspired wedding was a mixture of boho, timeless and edgy elements, displayed in a country setting right on the outskirts of a big, hip city. This venue is one of my favorites in the area. The owners are just the sweetest around, and take pride in their venue, which also doubles as their home and farm. The roomy cottage for the bride, that is located right off the main house, is to die for, and the garden spaces scattered around are absolutely stunning. There are so many great places on the property for amazing portrait opportunities, and you have your choice of settings for the actual ceremony and reception.
The dress was nothing I would have chosen off the rack, and everything that tied these elements together. It fit our bride so perfectly, and beautifully too. Our bride and groom models, are husband and wife in real life. The chemistry in these photos is the real deal, in case you were wondering how we ‘faked’ such magic. That kind of love just can’t be created on the spot. And this sweet couple are also local business owners. In fact, the cake and macaroons for this shoot were made at Baked Well, the bride’s own bakery in Matthews, NC, and her husband’s tattoo shop is right next door. How cool is that?
