Make Your Wedding Go Down in History at Carnton Plantation
So, I grew up just outside of Nashville, Tn. What great memories I have of living in an area with such nostalgia and the people, so genuine and so pleasant. I loved that time… full of friends and amazing memories. Fast forward a few years… I now live in Orlando, Florida… I love Orlando just the same. I’ve been fortunate to meet some of my best friends and the love of my life here. One day, I was talking to a friend that still lives in Franklin (just outside of Nashville) and she mentioned a location that I used to know from living in the area. I knew it as a historic plantation… the Old South, part of the great history of that era. Little did I know that they now do weddings and beautiful weddings at that. I contacted them and I knew then that I had to feature them on here. THIS is Franklin… THIS is what I loved about living in that area and what made it so endearing and charming. Historic Carnton Plantation has been a gathering place for ladies and gentlemen for hundreds of years. Now, the history of Carnton has been memorialized in the best-selling novel The Widow of the South. And their 160 year old Osage Orange tree… imagine saying your vows under this tree surrounded by their antebellum garden.
Whether you’ve dreamed of a rustic outdoor setting or want more modern amenities, this is a location that will complete your vision. Treat your guests to a back-in-time experience with a glimpse into the history of Tennessee and let your guests take tours of the McGavock family home during your cocktail hour.
