From the Photographer

The ever-so-sweet and fun couple: Brielle + Nick met initially at the Apple store! Nic was working as a “Genius” technician. Brielle’s phone was broken. After he fixed it they connected on social media. And guess what? Her phone broke AGAIN! From there, their friendship and love blossomed. For the proposal, Nic went ALL OUT and managed to pull it all off as a surprise! Together they rented and Airbnb and scooters for the first time to go explore all around Key West. Nic proposed at sunset at Fort Zachary. For the engagement portrait session, we went back to the EXACT spot where Nick initially popped “THE” question and he got down on one knee again!!! Together, Brielle and Nic enjoy exploring new areas, eating sushi, going on hikes – they are “doers”! We cannot WAIT for your wedding at Casa Marina!!!!

How did you two first meet?

We first met at the Apple store! My sister, mother, and myself had gone in to fix my sister’s phone and were already working with an associate. While they had gone into the back of the store, Nick came over to me and started talking to me. It was a short conversation but ended with us following each other on Twitter (which was relatively new at the time). We hadn’t talked again until months later when my phone broke late at night and in a panic I remember I followed “that Apple guy” and sent him a message to help! The rest is history!

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. What makes your relationship unique?

Brielle: Our relationship is unique because we both are doers. When we set our minds to something, there is very little that can stop us from trying to achieve that and we truly love to nurture that aspect in each other. Whether it’s a career goal, new hobby, seeing a new place or trying a new food dish, we truly push each other to keep exploring and we do it together.

Nick: Brielle and I are an incredibly opposite but balanced couple. Wether you believe in horoscopes or not, we are fire and ice, logic and emotion. I probably couldn’t sound anymore cliche but, she’s the yin to my yang.

How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?

Brielle: For me, it was realizing that when I’m with him I’m always laughing and feeling free. No matter the type of day I have, Nick has this way of taking the weight off my shoulders and getting me to smile. I never have to explain myself, he just understands me in a way that no other person has or ever could.

Nick: Brielle is everything to me. She has been through all the ups and downs, and is the most supportive, loving, and generous person. She’s persistent, courageous, and inspirational. I am so enthralled by her every move. Without question I started to save after our first year anniversary, I without a doubt just… knew.

Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

The day of the proposal, we had gone down to Key West to spend the day/night there. We rented an adorable Air B&B right near Duval street that was so quaint and cozy and rented a vespa to drive around the island sight seeing. We honestly were continuously laughing at how much fun we had riding that thing around, grabbing drinks and little bits of food as we drove along. We toured the Hemingway House and got to feed the baby kittens they had. It was just all around such a fun day. Finally, we went back got dressed for dinner which we had at Louie’s Backyard which was probably one of the best meals we have ever had down there. Then right before sunset we headed over to Ft. Zachary to watch the sunset. We had walked over by the water just as the sun was setting and that is when Nick asked. The moment was so perfect and it was perfectly captured by the photographers that he hired that hid in the woods behind us. It was simple, yet beautifully executed and it was one of the best days of our lives.

We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

Brielle: I had given Nick no guidance on what I wanted on a ring. I myself had no clue what style I liked and told him to just give it his best shot. Well, he nailed it; it truly is a work of art. He worked with the jeweler to model it like a rose because Rose is my middle name. It is so unique and gorgeous and every time I look at it I am reminded at how much time, effort, and thought he put into to make it special and I am always so amazed by that.

Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?

YES!! We booked The Casa Marina as our venue and we could not be more excited to have our wedding at such a gorgeous place! The wedding is in June 2021 so we have some time to plan out the finer details, but we are having a blast doing it!
