Scott and Brooke met at a slowly developing Philadelphia Eagles watch party in Austin, TX. I know it’s hard to imagine that one even exists in Austin, but back then they had about 20 people attend. Now over 200 members come out every week! And the happy couple runs the “Austin’s Eagles Nest.” Scott and Brooke like to think of themselves as the king and queen. The couple built their relationship sharing a great love of food. During their engagement shoot, I casually mentioned a good spot for Iberico Ham – a type of cured ham produced in Spain and Portugal, and about 2 hours after the shoot I got a text from Scott and there it was–in all its glory.

When things got more serious, Scott planned the most epic proposal. According to the bride, “We had a fabulous room at the Cliff House in Maine overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It was New Year’s Eve and we had the TV turned to Rockin’ New Year’s Eve and a fire going in the fireplace. After the clock struck midnight, the resort shot off fireworks over the ocean. As I was watching the fireworks, Scott handed me a champagne glass and on the glass was etched “will you marry me?”It was absolutely perfect!” The ring itself is classic, simple, elegant. Verragio traditional band with a center round 3.2-carat diamond!! He did good! The wedding is planned for 9/28/19 at The Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, PA and the theme will be sparkle elegance!

Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

We meet at a slowly developing Philadelphia Eagles watch party in Austin, TX. I know it’s hard to imagine that one even exists, but back then we had about 20 people attend. Now we have over 200 members that come out every week! And we officially run the Austin’s Eagles Nest. I like to think of us as the king and queen 🙂

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?

Scott challenges me for sure! He definitely has opened up my culinary palette and we now travel for new food adventures! I like to think I have helped Scott to become more in touch with his feelings regarding cats. He will deny it, but he loves our little Leokins as much as he loves our mini Aussie, Penn.

How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?

When he let me order whatever I wanted off the menu, lol. But seriously, I knew he was the one when I realized we both had this crazy obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles and his east coast personality hadn’t been lost moving to Austin. His parents and grandparents have also been married a long time and he told me this was something he valued as well in a relationship.

Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

The proposal was epic! We had a fabulous room at the Cliff House in Maine overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It was New Year’s Eve and we had the TV turned to Rockin’ New Year’s Eve and a fire going in the fireplace. After the clock stuck midnight, the resort shot off fireworks over the ocean. As I was watching the fireworks, Scott handed me a champagne glass and on the glass was etched “will you marry me?” It was absolutely perfect!
