When I first spoke with Elisha about planning her engagement session, she told me how important it was to have her session in downtown Indianapolis. With a destination wedding on the horizon for these two love birds, having meaningful engagement photos in Indianapolis was a priority. She and Kevin had met while they were in college and shared their first kiss on a rooftop that over looks the entire city. So as we talked about the locations to use around town, we picked locations that could be seen from that rooftop. From Monument Circle in the heart of Indy to the beautiful canal walk – we had a blast taking photos of these two in a city that they love so much. And as for our last stop of the night? Well, that same rooftop of course! Elisha and Kevin spent some quiet moments at the end of their session on top of the city so to speak – while the sun set around them. It was beautiful!

Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

We matched on Tinder! Then we decided to meet in person in Fountain Square for dinner.

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. What makes your relationship unique?

We love to have have fun, try new and/or outside-of-the-box things, and travel. We really enjoy emerging ourselves in other cultures and exploring the world around us.

How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?

I think we for sure knew approx 1 year ago.

Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

The proposal happened in my apt right after I came home from work one random Tues in July. It was totally unexpected! I came home from work, walked into my apt door and “Will U Marry Me?” was written on my apt floor in rose petals. He also scattered pink and white petals around my apt and lit candles. He was down on one knee and simply said “Will you marry me?” It was very special and intimate.

We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

I love it! It’s a round cut solitaire with a micropave diamond band. Very dainty, classy and timeless.

Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?

Yes! We have almost everything planned at the moment. We will be eloping (just the two of us!) in Puerto Rico at this really cool location right outside of a rainforest on May 16, 2019 and then taking our honeymoon 1 week later in Dubai.
