We went to middle school together and we were always in the same friend group. Right before college, we started talking and we were in love after that!
Initially, it was his ability to talk to anyone! This man never meets a stranger. He is sweet, compassionate, and personable!
Since Jacob and I both go to Texas Tech, we find things we love about Lubbock slowly. I happened to find a neighborhood in Lubbock that I just adored. Jacob noticed… and when it came time to propose, he told me he had a banquet for work so I needed to be dressed, and drove me to my favorite neighborhood, had a hundred candles set out, and said sweet words to me, and popped the question!
We want to do a ‘last dance’ and I am really looking forward to that. We’ve heard from everyone how overwhelming the wedding day can be, so having that day to soak everything up will be awesome.
Let the planning reflect YALL. Not your mom, your dad, your sister, or your bridesmaids! It’s so hard to want to please everyone. It’s a day for you and your groom.
We were in the Whataburger parking lot after a group date, talked for 3 hours, and I told my sister that night I wanted to marry him!
Jacob knew I had a favorite neighborhood in Lubbock, and by my favorite, I mean I obsess over it. He told me he had a banquet, so I needed to wear a dress, and took me to the neighborhood gazebo, which was covered in candles. It was so perfect! He got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife!
Jacob knows me so well… so he knew that I had a preference. I got to pick the diamond I wanted, and he did the rest! I have a pear shaped ring with a solitaire band.
I am so excited to continue planning! Our venue was my favorite thing so far to plan!
