Janie and Cameron had to cuddle up A LOT to endure the cold in Highlands, NC for their winter engagement session! Old Edwards Inn was the perfect backdrop for such a classy, stylish couple. They laughed through every moment and their joy is so evident in their photos.
We met freshman year of high school when we were 14!
We’re each other’s best friend. We hold each other up and encourage each other in everything.
There was never really a moment, aside from a time in college that I had a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and he drove 45 minutes to come change it for me. I was blown away by how much he cared about me and knew I needed to hang on to him. It’s mostly just been a feeling that I’d be totally lost without him!
He tried to tell me that we were having dinner at his parents house, which we never do, but I believed him and went along with it. When we got there his mom said she’d forgotten some things and asked us to go to the store so on the way back he detoured past a historic structure that I’d never seen before. I fed right into it and pointed and asked what it was. He pulled over to go “check it out” and had set up a table with champagne and flowers and a retro viewfinder with pictures from our six year relationship ending in a picture of my ring! He wrote me a letter and read it to me and proposed. I said yes and we went back to his parent’s house where my family joined and we all had dinner together.
It’s white gold with an oval diamond and baguettes on the sides. It’s perfect!
Lots of ideas! And we’ve already made tons of decisions so we’re excited to watch it all come together!
