From the Photographer

When trying to decide where to shoot this engagement session with Kiera, Dallas Arboretum was at the top of my list and we both agreed on shooting there as well. Dallas Arboretum is one of my favorite places to shoot an engagement session in Dallas, Texas as it’s vast and the feeling of love it gives just by walking around the garden.

We met up on a Sunday by the sunset hours and had the best time wandering around and finding new beautiful areas in the gardens. The thing I love most about Kiera and Tiangelo is that they’re so warm and welcoming–and funny! We laughed so much, and they trusted me entirely when it came to locations, poses and what would look best. I will never get over how sweet this couple is and how lucky I am!

Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

We met at his job, ha! My sister and I were at her car dealership so she could get something and he worked there, lol. He noticed me waiting in her car and decided to make small talk. I was interested, we exchanged numbers. He took me out for breakfast the next day! And we’ve been together ever since, lol.

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. What makes your relationship unique?

We both love to watch Comedy movies! We’re both goofy balls. We can laugh and talk about just anything.

How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?

He was just different to me. He listened, he showed interest. He just awakened feelings in me I didn’t know existed. Our connection was truly something I’ve never felt before.

Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

He is a private shy type of guy. He proposed at home on Mother’s Day! He bought me a huge gift that morning and as I got to the bottom of my gift bag there was a small box. When I opened the box, there was no ring! Lol however there was a small piece a paper that read “Will You Marry Me?”. I questioned it, and went to look for him and he was right behind me on one knee with a ring. He asked me again this time out loud with a trembling voice. I said Yes of course! He was so nervous lol.

We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

It is a 1 CT. T.W. Composite Diamond Rectangle Ring in 10K White Gold, with rows of channel-set baguette-cut diamonds line the middle stripe, while stepped sides with a ribbon of petite diamonds on top and bottom.

Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?

Yes and I have so many ideas and things listed, I can’t wait for my wedding day!
