After being rescheduled twice due to rain, we were all excited to see some sun for Chris and Kim’s Hermann Park engagement photos! It was one of the hottest days of the Summer with the heat index being over 100, but we were blessed with a great breeze and it didn’t feel nearly as terrible as we had anticipated.
These two have such a sweet story and deeply intertwined interests! Which made for an epic proposal story- Chris proposed with a video game, all about what their closest friends and family knew about Kimberly! Is that not the sweetest? And the sentiment didn’t stop with their proposal. They’ve been working hard to plan a one of a kind wedding that fits their personalities absolutely perfectly. Chris is planning a scavenger hunt game for their guests that I am so excited to see!
Chris and Kim love their pups so of course, we couldn’t leave these two adorable Corgis at home! Tater and Watson might have stolen the show a few times- but that’s their job, right? I vote yes! I mean, you couldn’t miss their cuteness in Chris and Kim’s engagement photos even if you tried!
When choosing locations, these two kept the same sentimental theme they’ve carried throughout their relationship. Which I love! I always encourage my couples to choose locations that are meaningful. Then your stunning engagement photos won’t be ‘just’ photos. They are heirlooms with stories that you can giggle about for years to come. When Chris and Kim were letting me know all their favorite things, I knew we had to go to Agora, where they had their first date, and somewhere else central to Houston since it’s the area they call home. When I suggested Hermann Park, we all knew it checked all the boxes- gorgeous, a Houston staple and the dogs would love it!
