From the Photographer

Spreading a little holiday cheer! Kristin & Chris got cute and cuddly at Emmerich Tree Farm for their Holiday inspired engagement session. They even decorated a tree & drink some Bailey’s together! We played Christmas music and it was SO festive. We totally got into the holiday spirit after this shoot.

Steve and I actually drove up to Warwick NY to do two shoots in one day at Emmerich Tree Farm! We did a little family session in the morning and this session in the afternoon. We took a break in the middle of the day to grab a quick bite to eat and wound up at Eddie’s Roadhouse in the heart of Warwick. The food was SO good and comforting on this insanely cold day! (It was seriously 25 degrees the whole time). We had buffalo chicken mac & cheese, chicken and waffles and a brie sandwich. Then we walked around in the shops for a bit and took care of some holiday shopping.

But back to Kristin & Chris! These two hardly needed any instruction, they were so incredibly cute together. Even before the Bailey’s & the Christmas music, they were super cuddly and natural together. They brought props to decorate one of the trees together… we highly recommend this for a holiday shoot!! Physically chopping down a tree is a little strenuous for photos, haha. But decorating one is perfect! They ended their shoot popping some champagne on the mountain top. (Which I mean, how could we not?? The views here are incredible!) We are always down for a festive shoot around the holiday season. You don’t have to ask us twice.

Cheers & Happy Holidays! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah from the Fox & the Hare!

Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

Chris and I went to high school together, but, graduated a few years apart and didn’t really know each other. Chris and I really met and hit if off a few years after high school at the bar on St Patrick’s day! No one really knows who picked up who, but we’re glad it happened 🙂

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. What makes your relationship unique?

We’re big into the outdoors. We love hiking, kayaking, camping and s’mores! We love spending time, just the two of us, exploring new places. When we’re not outdoors, we love The Office and scrabble!

How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?

Chris and I fit perfectly. There’s not one moment in time that I would say was “the moment” cause it’s really always been perfect. We balance each other well and just have so much fun together. He’s my best friend.

Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

It was a huge surprise! Chris brought me back to the bar we met in on St Patrick’s day, to the same booth we first kissed in, on our 5 year dating anniversary. As if this isn’t amazing enough, he had our good friend come play my favorite Goo Goo Dolls song as he got down on one knee. Little did I know that our closest friends and family were waiting in the back for a huge surprise engagement party after. It was perfect!

We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

It’s amazing! Chris didn’t know my size since I never wear rings and happened to pick just the right size 🙂

Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?

We are super excited for planning. We are getting married at Indian trail club in the fall of 2020. We are thinking rustic vibe with moody autumn colors.
