Aaron and Megan live in a few acres of land along with their five dogs, chickens, and a few goats. When we were planning their engagement session, I knew we needed to incorporate the rustic/country feel while still portraying their beautiful love for each other. We chose James A Reed as our location because of it’s versatility, beautiful fields, and barn.
We met at World’s of Fun, which was my first job I ever had. He helped train me on their systems and procedures, and our relationship gradually turned from a friendship, to something more.
The thing that makes our relationship special, would be how well our goals in life are so similar. We seek out something entirely different than most people, so having someone who shares those same dreams and ideas is really amazing.
When we actually started going out on dates, I almost immediately knew he was the one. It was like we had already been dating for years, and we thoroughly enjoyed having long conversations with each other. We never ran out of things to talk about, and we loved spending time together.
We were at World’s of Fun, watching the singers on the stage. He turned to me after they finished singing and dropped to his knee. I was so happy and surprised. He had picked the ring out all by himself, and kept the whole thing a secret from me.
I love my ring. It has beautiful, diamond studded leaves on each side of the main setting. I think it is perfect for the type of people we are- outdoorsy and adventurous.
I am very excited to plan the wedding. It’s all slowly coming together, and it’s amazing just seeing everything fall into place. I love light colors and my fiancé loves blue, so we are doing a blush and navy color wedding, with country chic decor.
