From the Photographer

This shoot was a dream! I loved the rich colors and bold contrast of the greenery and elegant red dress. I could feel the love in every single photograph of these two.

Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

It’s actually a crazy story how we met. We are huge gamers! So one night I hopped on to play Overwatch with one of my best friends, Kalli, where little did I know would be in a group that would have a very special person. I would’ve never have ever thought that I would meet my future husband through video gaming.

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. What makes your relationship unique?

There is no way to fully describe how unique our relationship is because we just feel it, just everything about each other just always brings up non stop butterflies. We tend to play off of each other where as we can make something fun out of nothing. We’re a couple that has such a dynamic relationship that every day is a new adventure. When we find ourselves in the middle of a disagreement we take the to reevaluate why we disagree and come to an understanding time and move forward. We love the open communication that we have. We love to challenge each other to push ourselves to be a better person. We have a HUGE passion for cars, specifically formula one cars. Our dream is for every year to travel to a different country to see a formula race together. We have an upcoming project to build a racing kart in the future. To us there is no such thing as having enough of each other or needing a break its like having a best friend live with you lol. As stated before we are huge gamers. We mainly hop on Overwatch together and play with really great friends. To say we are adventure junkies together is an understatement we love to travel the world and go on adventures with our fur children. Every day is definitely a day of full of laughter and loving each other. There’s no dull moments, that’s for sure.

How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?

Christian: Call it cheesy, but when I was spending every night staying up until 4 am chatting or hanging out with Steph that’s when I knew she was the one. We could spend hours on end just talking about anything and everything and still want to stay up for more of each others company, but often we would have work early in the morning so we had to force our selves to sleep. thinking back on those nights and days bring a smile to my face. Stephanie: At first I was hesitant to start a long distance relationship with Christian but something about him was just drawing me to him. I just knew he was the one like every part of my body and being was telling me that. The minute we talked more and more just became a stronger connection. The moment when it hit me though is when out of the 7months that we’ve dated long distance not once did he not call. Everyday up until he dropped everything to move to AZ for me he called staying up for hours! Seems like were night owls because of it. till this day we non stop laugh and talk all night until mornings sometimes. Still doing that 2 years into our relationship! crazy right? He is all around the best man and future husband I can ask for. He’s humble and always tries to make me laugh even when I’m mad or sad. He doesn’t hide how he feels and I just can’t help but love him. He blind sided and checked all the boxes. It’s kind of hard not to love the guy you know?

Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

The proposal was definitely a surprise, after dating for several months and moving to AZ the feeling of “this is the one” went to the next level for me and had started of thinking about ways to propose. I wanted it to be something to remember but nothing over the top. The proposal happened early in October on vacation in Mexico, It was one of the last days we were there and I had woken up confident that this was the day. I bought the ring on the beach while she was distracted and had to hide it for several hours until we were at dinner with her family. I made a toast to her mom and dad for welcoming me into the family, then got done on one knee and made the surprise. I was numb with excitement and anxious to hear her answer. Needless to say it was a day to remember for both her and I.

We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

The ring itself is pretty, but the thing is I bought it for $30. For me, and for Steph it wasn’t about the diamonds or how much it costs. Its about the thought that goes into it and why I was doing it. Of course I would love to actually get a ring that has some “bling” to it, but the one I bought on that beach will always be more memorable to the both of us.

What are you most excited about when it comes to your wedding planning?

The most exciting part is making sure I get that open bar lol. As stressful and overwhelming the planning can get I am a ball of excitement and can’t wait for the day. We planned a destination beach wedding which we just dreamed of one day of having. Nice to have that dream come true. The stressful part is getting your finances in order and venue booked especially during a pandemic. Once that stage has passed and everything is booked the fun part is the taste testing of the food and color palettes of the theme and of course shopping for that perfect dress. We still have lots of work to do but we can not wait for our special day! We are just so excited to fill our day with laughter and fun sharing it with loved ones. A journey that is just the beginning…
