Thao, the bride, set a record for number of outfits in a single session (five!!!) and every single one was a winner in my book. I loved her red and black cowboy boots with the white dress but I’m always partial to anything tulle! She wore two of our studio’s tulle skirts, our teal tiered midi and long baby blue tulle skirt, along with a traditional Vietnamese wedding dress, and a stunning and sexy fire-engine red gown. They are getting married in late May in a multi cultural ceremony. They’ll have a morning Vietnamese tea ceremony where the bride will wear her stunning red and yellow dress, followed by a traditional Western reception. The spring flowers were in full bloom at Mercer Botanical gardens and Thao had so much fun twirling around in all the different looks! Thao even made her own bouquet of baby’s breath!
On Match actually! It took me almost a year to get the courage to try online dating since I heard so many horror stories from it. I absolute love Match, he was my first date too and the rest is history.
We love trying new food and traveling to new places. He’s an outdoor junkie while I love love food and anime. Despite the fact we are opposite, it help brings out the best in us.
When he called me on the phone after I had a rough day at work when we first start dating. Who still does that?? Plus his gifts are super sincere, especially hand crafted and creative that I was in awe.
We were going to Florida for some warm weather during Thanksgiving. He took me to a Beer Garden and then excuse himself to the restroom. My waitress came and delivered me a scrapbook. In there are our adventures with sweet and funny sayings. At the end it said to get out of the bar and someone will come pick me up. The driver took me to the beach which was like 2 minutes away. As she took me to him, two girls were playing “Cant help falling in love with you” as I walk toward Lawrence. He was standing in the middle of a drawn heart shape, there were vases of flowers, picnic basket with cheese and crackers. There were covered chocolate strawberries, champagne and a photographer! As I came closer, he kneel down on one leg and proposed, I was in tears. He had coordinated with a proposal planner for this extravagant event!! I was soooo blown away, it was better than anything I have imagine!
He chose the diamond from White Flash and we went to shop for the setting at Robin Brothers together. I fell in love with the design the second I saw it! The designer is Kirk Kira, their selection and design is absolutely beautiful.
Planning is exciting but I am horrible at it so it helped so much that he is an excellent planner as you can see from the proposal. It is fun but stressful lol. My cousin Lynn does wedding planning so it helps, she owns Prestige Event Houston so please support her. Her decorating skills are amazing and so much fun because she is always thinking of new ways and designs. Since I grew up in a large family, I cannot do the romantic get away like I dream, so we will have a traditional Vietnamese wedding at Lamb Bo.
