Kristen has a special place in my heart. In addition to really valuing her wedding photography she’s just the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, but not in a cookie cutter way- in a cool way. She’s the kind of girl who, if you saw her at a local pub or shopping mall, you’d think she probably travels the world, has a huge following on Instagram and owns her own yoga studio or something. She doesn’t, or at least, not that I know of. But she’s just effortlessly beautiful and so chill and laid back. It’s no wonder why Blaine fell head over heels.

Their wedding is at the Royal Oaks County Club, one of the most exclusive clubs in the south. Since they’re both native Houstonians we thought there was no better place for their engagement session than Eleanor Tinsley Park, with amazing views of the city skyline.

I talk about styling and send out a bridal guide to all of my couples and this is why. Kristen and Blaine nailed it. Her first look (the shorter, darker dress) was super cute but still casual and the colors complimented without being matchy-matchy. I loved the fit and flare silhouette. This is so flattering for all body types. Her last dress (the longer, light dress) was my favorite. It was so pretty and I loved how it flows in the images. The color looked incredible on her skin tone. for those of you wondering, she got it from Anthropologie.
