Many weddings are styled these days with Pantone Colors of the Year and trendy elements. With the summer upon us and Wimbledon and the US Open in the wing, I wanted to bring a moment of timelessness to the shoot– is there anything that screams summer and luxury more than tennis?

With clean lines and tones this modern take on a ‘country club wedding’ is perennial and everlasting with its white dinner jacket by Black Tux, simple silhouettes by I Do Veils and lush white and green florals by Laurel Lane. The cake, by Honeycomb Cakes, is inspired by the courts colors and origin and the setting of the beautiful Maplewood Tennis Club, also known as the Little Club; an intimate venue equipped to serve 120 guests for a wedding, but most often for exclusive tennis matches between its players and neighboring clubs. Calligrapher Lace and Belle knocked it out of the court with the tournament styled seating chart and playful menus as well as the well-named cocktail signage. Our gorgeous model Ashley had sultry and soothing tones by Makeup by Samantha Linn and her hair went from ceremony to ‘match ready’ with the help of Joelle of Studio J. The coordination and styling was completed by Ashley Johnston of Events by ASJ bringing this classic editorial shoot to life! J. Vincent provided the gorgeous jewelry which Ashley and James wore to celebrate their ‘big day’.

While this shoot was intended to only be styled, this couple actually eloped a couple years ago in a quick and simple ceremony on the beach with only immediate family. These photos will now serve as their wedding images which they can cherish for days to come thanks to Nicole Becker of NKB Photo.
