From the Photographer

The Overlook at Gravity Farm, appropriately named with its breathtaking 800ft high view of the valley below, was the perfect location for our Pocahontas Indian dream elopement inspired shoot. This mountain top venue makes it feel as if you are literally in the clouds. Due to the current state of the world, micro-weddings and elopements have been given the spotlight, and The Overlook is the perfect dreamy setting for a sweet and intimate ceremony.

Inspired by earthy tones, turquoise and amber, this creative team worked side by side to cohesively breathe life into this Pocahontas inspired shoot. As the bride’s favorite princess, Pocahontas became the central inspiration for this elopement, from the gorgeous custom macrame headdress and macrame backdrop by Ox and Nag to the deep earth and gem inspired tones of the floral arrangements by Averi K Designs. The furniture provided by Honeywood Events created an inviting and comfortable set for any newly married couple to snuggle next to each other.

The modern day Pocahontas influence for this elopement is made evident by the bride’s beautiful makeup done by Get Darling Artistry and hair by the braiding Queen, Blondeandbraided__ respectively. The bride’s dress, custom made by Adelyn Grace Bridal perfectly complemented the groom’s tux by Friar Tux. The fringe jacket that the bride wears even further accentuates the Native American princess vibes, and the calligraphy by Lettered by Luth elevates that even more.

The gorgeous rustic inspired jewelry by Third Eye Company that accessorized the bride was just the figurative icing on the cake. Speaking of cake, even the delicious cake and pumpkin roll by Mirandas Sweet Treats and the detailed macrame cookies by Blukat Baking, both inspired by the earth and the turquoise and amber color palette, perfectly captured the essence of this Pocahontas inspired elopement. The charcuterie board by Charcuterie With Me added a savory element to the lovely spread. The entire tablescape was coordinated by Averi K Designs.

This real life, Pocahontas (look a like), Kosoma, was just as fierce and paid ode to her fave Princess. Daniel + Kosoma will forever remember this moment as the time when they truly felt like a prince and princess overlooking the breathtaking valley 800ft below all while basking in their one of a kind love for each other. It was truly an honor to work with some of my favorite and talented vendors in industry. To photograph such RAW, authentic and wildly in love couples is ultimately the reason why I love what I do.
