Exotic forest wedding of Alysia and Simon will remind you that true emotions are the most valuable part of human nature. If you want to get funny as a child, admiring your happiness why you should restrain yourself? Just look in what a charming manner this couple organized a rather simple but mysterious ceremony. It is visible with an unarmed eye that each element was chosen because they just want it to be there, not because the designers advised this. Simplicity in looks, naturalism in décor, flourishing accents and immense happy craziness – you should feel this, list the album.

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette?

We always dreamed that in our wedding day we would let our hair down, it would be wild and a little crazy in a good sense of these words. So, it is not accidentally that we stopped our look at the forest as a wedding location. When we went here for the first time to overview the future wedding place, this territory reminded us of the jungles and we felt effusive nature’s energy – it was that we needed. We could say, that wildness, craziness, and energy were the inspiration staying behind the day.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?

Apparently, we could not avoid enhancing this chosen aura with wedding décor. To involve the association of jungle we used different kinds of netting. Wedding arch was from twisted thin tree trunks with charming hand-made macramé curtain. On the path to the forest chapel small arches, reminding liana plexus were placed. Besides, some picturesque forest lawns were decorated with small figures of cute dragons (the children were thrilled). We arranged the place with signboards informing about placing our wedding locations. It was a true adventure.

What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

Like any other women, I am a fan of flowers. Our wedding drowned in the flowers and verdure: giant cacti, ferns, extremely high trees, and rose bushes, multiple forest flowers, and sprigs with berries. Besides, all these surrounded us in nature; we also used the vegetation and floral elements in decorating the tables in the wedding hall, forest tables with fruits and beverages. Floral compositions were also placed near the wedding arch. It was a true wild romance. By the way, I had not bridal bouquet despite the fact that flowers were in the center of the ceremony.

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

This is not a single untraditional element. We tried to personalize our day in a variety of curious ways. Thus, during the ceremony, we did not drink the Champaign as it used to be but chose our favorite beverages: cranberry sparkling punch and peach whiskey smash. Everybody could taste what we liked and share our preferences. To surprise our guests we took care of tiny individual presents laying on each personal plate in the gold pouches. Observing the sincere surprising on the dearest faces – this was our favorite moment since we tried to make very personalized presents.

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

Speaking about wedding looks, I could say they were more than simple. My gown was white with ruched bodice and flowing skirt. I had no veil, no jewelry (besides the ring, sure), no compound hair do. One can guess the flowing long skirt was not comfortable but I felt myself as soaring forest elf. In contrary to me, Simon decided to be extraordinary. He had bought not a formal suit but each item separately and composed them in his individual manner. Beige jacket, brown pants, and black tie looked rather stylish.

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

Simon always liked to stand out of the crowd. I knew because we finished one and the same university. He always was noticeable, all the girls dreamed about his attention. I found him strange for a long time but when he invited me to be a pair on our graduation party, I agreed with the thought: girls would die of envy. It was the start, from this moment I looked at Simon from the new point and when he made me a proposal I agreed because my feelings were eddying long before this moment of sincerity.

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

I had forgotten, besides the wild forest, we had crazy water. Near the ceremony place, exotic rocky shore is situated. We could not help stopping ourselves from climbing there, we both were crazy. It was the most exciting moment for us. We went insane from adrenalin and huge water waves. We did not plan to make a photo in this location but our photographer could not resist his professional interest and when observing us made a few pictures. They turned out to be the best shots. Photographer admitted that the rocky and water elements revealed our true natures and promoted potent sincere emotions.

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

Emotions indeed matter. Everybody has the right to go away from triviality and become a little insane. Why you should not do this on your wedding day? Be crazy, do not ignore the natural landscapes as the wedding location, run away from the city hustle and bustle to the edge of civilization – here you will find true fulfilling energy.
