They were seventeen & fifteen. Craig and Amanda met at a birthday party at the beach. They hung out that night and the next day at another friend’s birthday party, never exchanging phone numbers. After that, they didn’t see each other again for months. Craig was under the impression that Amanda had moved out of state. A couple of months later, a now-groomsmen was at Amanda’s house with his girlfriend at the time. He called his twin brother to come pick him up. When he arrived at the house, he was with Craig. Craig was super shocked to see Amanda, let alone to be standing at her front door. At this point, they exchanged phone numbers. They saw each other every single day for the rest of the summer, as Craig would come pick her up to go to the beach, go to out to eat, or a movie. They were so comfortable around each other and felt as if they had known each other for years. Amanda and Craig endured 12 years of long distance, some longer than others. They attended different high schools and then different colleges. In 2006, Craig left for college at USF in Tampa, while, in 2008, Amanda went to UF in Gainesville. Year 2012 comes around; they both have graduated and move in together back in Palm Beach County, finally actually together. Craig and Amanda bought their first home together in June 2016. Eleven years after they met, Craig popped the question on an intimate 4th of July morning.
