It was a magical day. Ananda went to Houston Hall early for make-up and dressing with her posse. I finally showed up around 1 and mingled with the early arrivals. When 2 pm came, our friend Les began the ceremony with a song, and we walked with our families from different sides of the hall, met at the back and walked down the aisle together. After a wonderful ceremony of stories and poetry officiated by our good friend Alex, we then rushed out of the hall into the rain for a very quick photo shoot. Then it was back in with our friends and family, for the party of a lifetime with a collection of dear people that will not be repeated.
Through our friend Alex Twersky. We met at his dad’s shiva, but then he got us together suggesting I reach out to her when we were both single.
I was at her family’s summer house in New Hampshire. One of our favorite places is this place called Mossy Glen. It was there I surprised her with a proposal with a ring my mother had worn throughout her marriage.
Trying to keep costs down, trying to pick a location that meant something to us, and yet would be convenient for our guests, especially family.
Don’t sweat the money so much, as that special day is usually worth it!
