Ashley and Brad said their “I Do’s” at a mountain top resort in Nevada overlooking the breathtaking Lake Tahoe area. Their intimate destination wedding was overflowing with romance and stunning views and radiated the deep love the couple has for each other. The most special part of the day was when Ashley and Brad opted to do a private first look before their ceremony. It was just them and their photographers. The stood on the edge of a mountain top and recited personal vows to each other before their official vows later in the ceremony. Romantic does not even begin to describe that special moment.
Our wedding was up in South Lake Tahoe in the mountains with the beautiful trees and landscape around us. We kept it rustic with a modern flare.
We had an all-inclusive wedding package at our venue. They provided most of the necessary items for decor and our florist also created many custom signs to give it a unique welcoming look.
We wanted to keep it very simple and complimentary to our modern rustic forrest theme. Lots of greenery with white flowers and pops of mauve and peaches. We had bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages for our bridal party and families. We had centerpieces, an arbor, and we used our flowers to decorate our sweetheart table and our dessert table.
We had a photo booth, which was a huge hit! Everyone enjoyed dancing and the music was amazing!
I wanted something form fitting and that showed off my curves. I found a plunge front and also a sexy low back, it had an illusion back with straps to keep the dress up. Brad was very specific and knew that a classic black suit would be timeless and a very handsome classy clean look that would compliment our colors to our venue.
A mutual friend had been trying to introduce us for a while, but for whatever reason it hadn’t happened. Finally our paths crossed and the spark was instant! We quickly started spending lots of time together. Out of our six years dating we’ve spent 3 of them living together with our 2 cats. Frequently traveling to Lake Tahoe for fun filled weekends. It was a regular get away, it was our home away from home. So of course, Brad decided to propose in 3 feet of snow by the Lake on St. Patrick’s day 2018.
We did a first look and knew we wanted to do it for a long time. We wanted to be private with our vows and take advantage of taking photos off the property to get a different a scene and look.
To make the process the most efficient start with what you know you do not want and work with the positives from there.
