Carley and Robby decked out a sweet outdoor venue and made it a Lousiana spring paradise! The massive amount of people who joined them in celebrating their love was a testament to the people and the couple they are together.

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

My theme was a romantic feel with lots of pearls, candles, greenery, mauve/dusty-rose/ivory roses.

What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

I was going for a more “simple but elegant” look and feel when it came to flowers. We had circle mirror plates, 3 tiered candle setting with pearls in water with floating candles, greenery with tucked roses and a mauve sheer all nestled together as my centerpieces! Ivory pin tuck table cloths. The Arbor piece played a huge part in the backdrop of my ceremony as well as the 2 large urn pieces. We also had beautiful Aisle markers for the ceremony that sat on the top of the arm of each chair. My bridal bouquet and and bridesmaids bouquets were probably my absolutely favorite!

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

We had confetti bombs that my guests shot as we were pronounced husband and wife for the first time at the closing of the ceremony. We also had a sparkler send-off exit at the end of the night. Our caterers provided our guests with a send-off snack of mini cheeseburgers and mini chocolate milkshake shooters. Our grooms cake was in the shape of a large YETI ice chest with a large mouth bass and a Michelob ultra beer can. My dad and I exited a beautiful classic white rolls Royce as we walked down the aisle. My husband and I were picked up in the same classic white rolls Royce at the end of our reception (after our sparkler exit).

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

I had a ball gown style dress. The entire neckline was sheer. The top half of my dress was filled with lace, jewels and sheer. The entire bottom half was completely ivory satin! My husband wore a dark navy tuxedo with a dark navy vest, ivory shirt, pearl buttons, and a quartz colored bow tie that matched my bridesmaids dresses. His shoes were a beautiful brown.

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

We met at a party at my parents house about 7 years ago. We started dating after hanging out for a while as friends and have been together almost 7 years now!

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

My multiple first looks. My bridesmaids had never seen my dress until the moment I put it on for my wedding day! I had been holding it a secret so they could have a first-look with me. I refused to keep pictures of my dress on my phone to prevent myself from giving in and showing my girls my dress… because there were so many times I wanted to pull out a picture and show them! But thank goodness I held out..because their reactions were everything.!! My dad’s first look was incredible. He had been dying to see my dress for almost a year. Even trying to sneak pictures from my mom’s phone! So that moment was extra special!

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

Do it all!! You only get married once… so if it’s something you even THINK you may want… JUST DO IT! It’s so worth it. Remember to enjoy every single moment of your actually big day. Time moves so fast. Take it all in!! Make sure that you make your reception fun for your guests!!! That was the one thing everyone kept telling me..was that not only were they impressed by all my little details but that they were SO thrilled that we did so much to make sure we made it fun for them too!
