Catherine and Kyle’s private estate wedding was something dreams are made of… perfection would be an understatement. The couple, along with their families, hosted almost three hundred people for their special day. A wedding of that size often feels less intimate, but this wedding was truly an exception. With numerous generations in attendance, Catherine and Kyle’s wedding was centered on family.

Catherine’s mother described her as loving vintage items since the day she was born, so it was no surprise that her wedding theme revolved around the vision of antique elegance and bespoke details. The ceremony was set in the immaculately landscaped backyard garden of Catherine’s family home. The boxwoods created a seamless aisle and the pergola in the center of the garden served as the ceremony altar. Antique church pews were used to accent the natural flow of the garden, creating a three hundred and sixty-degree view of the bride and groom exchanging their vows. String music filled the air and tears filled eyes as Catherine and her father descended from the back doors of their home into the ceremony.

The reception was hosted in a large sailcloth tent at another location on the estate property. The couple traveled from their ceremony site to their reception site in classic style in Catherine’s father’s white Rolls Royce. The tent was filled with antique furniture, a black and white dance floor, and hand-selected individualized family heirloom china at each place setting, creating a warmth and intention to detail that alludes to the rich beauty that runs deep within this family. Hints of dusty rose and blush hues show through the lush florals and tabletop details. The dance floor was surrounded by white farm tables that seated all the bride and groom’s aunts and uncles, running down the length of these tables were floral garlands that included historic photos of family and friends in small brass frames.

As the night continued on family and friends enjoyed a lovely dinner and danced to the live music of a ten piece band. The traditional wedding cake was also accompanied by five individual Smith Island cakes, as an ode to the couple’s Maryland Eastern Shore heritage. The evening concluded with a picture-perfect sparkler send off. Every individual moment of Catherine and Kyle’s wedding day had a whimsical and tender spirit, there was no detail unplanned.
