From the Photographer

Upon first hearing from Chelsie about her wedding, we were excited. We have shot with so many of Casey and Chelsie’s family members and the weddings have all been amazing and their families have become friends over the past few years. What was equally as exciting to me was the fact that Chelsie is a nontraditional bride and I knew her wedding was going to be super unique, which I love. Chelsie did her own flowers for her wedding, which turned out incredible – I couldn’t imagine taking on something so huge and using real flowers, but everything looked beautiful. I also loved the vintage feel that this wedding had and the choice of a non-traditional suit coat for the groom. Little details make such a difference for photos and we wanted to make sure that we were able to capture them all.

How They Met

In 2014, my mamaw (the bride) was admitted into Princeton community hospital. Casey was working at the hospital as transport at the time and he is actually the one who wheeled her to her room and to all the tests that she needed to complete. I was to shy at the time so I kinda just tried to avoid eye contact. About two weeks later he found me and send me a friend request on Facebook. We talked a ton but I constantly blew him off and wouldn’t meet him or anything, after about a month he basically was like “hey what is your address, I’m coming to you” and here we are now! Two kids and a house later.

How He Proposed

We got engaged on mother’s day in 2016, May 19th. The day we are getting married just 3 years later! He had told me he planned me pictures to take on mother’s day, that even tho I was still pregnant that it was still my day. In the middle of the pictures he surprised me with the engagement!
