Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette?

Our wedding was the best day of our lives. We are so happy the way everything turned out. All of our guests have been raving about our day and we are so happy to have shared it with all the people we love! Burgundy, gray, and navy!

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?

We had our amazing florist, FlowersByDanielle, LLC create all of our centerpieces, where almost everything else was done by me as DIY (menus, programs, etc!).

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

The glow sticks made the dance floor. It was so fun to look back on the pictures and videos to see all of our amazing guests having the time of their life. I just loved how all our favorite people were in the same room celebrating us!

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

I wanted my dress to be simple and elegant. Greg wanted me to wear my hair down so I respected that decision. His look consisted of what “I wanted him to wear”, made it easy 🙂 We are so happy with how the look came out and wouldn’t have changed a thing!

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

Greg and I met at our first job back after college at ADP in CT. We both then moved our lives down to the NYC area where we soon enough started becoming roommates. Our proposal was so unexpected. It was the weekend after my birthday and he asked me to come downstairs to help him with something out of the car. I was a little confused as to why since we were going home to CT that night. He then walked me down to the NYC skyline (where I knew it was coming right then and there) where he had all these candles lined up and got down on one knee. Greg was in his scrubs where I was in an XXL basketball sweatshirt, no makeup, and wet hair. We then drove home to CT and had a house full of family and friends to celebrate with us. It definitely is a day I will never forget.

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

Finally marrying the man of my dreams. The entire day was just beyond perfect!

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

Don’t stress. It goes by so fast and you just have to enjoy it!
