Cristie and AJ could have had an outdoor wedding like anyone else’s. They could have been married in a garden, on treasured family property, or on a sprawling estate. And while any of those options would have been picturesque, the happy couple chose the most fun version of any outdoor wedding… they got married at the Columbus Zoo! Not only that, they got married in the renowned Heart Of Africa, where guests were seated to witness vows while looking out into a mock savanna where giraffe, zebra and wildebeest roamed below.
The photos show every ounce of excitement a private animal petting for the bridal party provided. Already in good spirits to be seeing their friends tie the knot, their bridal party got the treat of a lifetime when they were able to pet and hold a cheetah cub! We admire Cristie and AJ’s creativity in not only giving guests such amazing ceremony and reception views, but in bringing the wildlife vibe into their celebration (giraffe cake statuettes, anyone??).
