Fay and David have a wonderful story about meeting each other. David is a customs officer for the government of Antigua and he used to see Fay when she would come through the airport on flights. It wasn’t until they had a chance to meet each other through a mutual friend that allowed them to get to know each other better outside of just airport encounters and it wasn’t long before Fay and David fell in love.
Being surrounded by lots of friends and family was something important for this couple’s wedding day. Even though they live on the island of Antigua, they wanted to do something spectacular for their friends and family so they decided upon the Shore Club Resort in Turks and Caicos. When they booked their wedding, little did they know that the Shore Club would receive the award for ‘Best Hotel in the Caribbean’! In preparation for her special day, Fay had a wedding dress designed by a designer in Antigua… he also designed and embellished her wedding shoes and her beautiful headpiece to match.
Fay looked like royalty on her wedding day and David looked like he stepped out of GQ Magazine with his suit, yellow tie and stylish vest. With this happy groom smiling from ear-to-ear, we took lots of photos of Fay and David in all of the picturesque locations of the resort, using the spiral staircase of the elegant Villas, to a white-washed boardwalk and iconic columns. It’s rare to have a destination wedding where the couple is from another Caribbean island where the couple actually has at least 50 people from that island coming to celebrate with them! Faye and David were such gracious hosts and we will always remember the fun time with this Caribbean couple!
Our wedding day was an absolutely beautiful day. Our team of wedding professionals was inspired by nature… this is why we chose an outdoor wedding in the garden with beautiful views of the gorgeous turquoise water of the ocean. Our colors of choice were green and yellow inspired by lemons.
The gorgeous natural setting of the garden gave me all the decor that I needed. Our arch was decorated with Tropical Monstera leaves fully decorating the arch on both side posts with white Roses, white Lisianthus, Hydrangea and mixed greenery.
Our reception was so much fun and our DJ was extraordinary. We danced all night to our Antigua Soca music.
Comfort, elegant and sexy was what I wanted. I love shorts, so I told my designer that shorts must be a part of my gown and I needed to be comfortable.
David is a customs officer so we met at the airport. We have been together for 15 years and marriage was always a conversation. It was while we rang in 2018 with a New Year’s Eve celebration that he said to me, “It’s time… it’s time we get married”.
When we finally got to exchange our vows.
Give yourself at least one year to plan your special day and please get yourself a wedding planner… it takes a tremendous amount of stress off of you. Also, choose a Maid of Honor who is responsible that can take care of any last minute changes for you.
