Cody and Jenna met while in sophomore year of high school, yep, high school sweethearts. After 14 years they were out hiking in Cuyahoga Falls National park in their hometown of Ohio when they came to a waterfall and Cody went down on one knee. Jenna had been ready, at least, 10 years for that question so the answer was an obvious, yes! They wanted a fall wedding because in Ohio it’s a beautiful time of year. Unfortunately the fall is getting pushed out further each year so there was still a lot of green but we were able to find bits of color for their photos.
They chose a newer barn out in the country to say their I’do’s. They had the ceremony outside and the reception inside. The bride and her mom did a ton of DIY. The moms friend altered the dress and added the sleeves, the bride and mom did the ceremony arch, reception seating stand as well as all of the centerpieces. The brides aunt did all of the bridesmaids/ brides bouquets, corsages and boutonnières. You’ll notice the locket on the brides bouquet, it has her grandmothers ashes in it.
