How did you two meet?

We met through our mutual friends! They thought we should go on a date a give it a shot and we did. Now the rest is history.

Tell us all about the proposal!

We got engaged in Edie Parker on Madison Avenue. It was the night before Thanksgiving. We were walking up Madison Avenue and Allan had both our families in on this entire surprise. He had a personalized bag made up on it that said: “Jordy, Marry Me?”. It was the greatest and most creative idea.

Describe the wedding planning process. Why did you choose the vendors you worked with?

Using Birch was not even an option! We knew we had to use some as talented as Josh and his entire team. They made the entire planning process from beginning to end so calming and stress-free. There was not a time from the day we got engaged until our wedding that we questioned our decision to use all the vendors that we did.

How was your wedding day? The more details you can provide, the better!

Birch Event Design made our dreams become a reality. Everything that we wanted was executed in the most incredible way and truly was perfect. At our first meeting with Josh, I (Jordana) explained what exactly I wanted and what exactly I envisioned our wedding being like. From the Chuppah to the ballroom, Josh and his entire team created something truly unimaginable. Allan and I still wonder how he managed to pull something so elegant, unique and breathtaking all at the same time. Josh created a room filled with hanging flowers coming from a gazebo-like structure that was built above each table. Our color scheme was shades of purple, cream and gold. The bridesmaids were in cream dresses with gold accent fabric and the immediate family was all in gold gowns. From the Bedeken to the Chuppah and finally to the Ballroom, there truly are not enough words to express our gratitude to the very talented Birch Event Design team. We truly were gifted the most beautiful wedding, Thank God and we are thankful each day that it was the most perfect day.

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

There were so many favorite parts, the entire night was so magical. There was something really special about the Chuppah. Walking down such a beautiful aisle and standing under the outrageous designed Chuppah made that moment even more moving and amazing. Being surrounded by friends, family and all the special people who came from near and far to celebrate with us enhanced our wedding so much. Our parents really made the entire night aside from the creativity part. Our siblings and our set of parents enhanced every single aspect of the night. Their unconditional love was felt throughout. Furthermore, Seeing the ballroom for the first time gave us both chills. We will never forget when Josh opened the doors for us and showed us the entire room and when realizing that our vision and our dream wedding was turned into a reality—there is NO feeling like that one.

What is your advice for newly engaged couples?

Enjoy every second of the entire process. Before you blink it will be your wedding day and you will regret how much slipped by you. Also, do not get caught up on the little things. At the end of the day, everything will work out. It is all a process. And lastly, DO NOT take the fun out of the entire process. If there is a disagreement move on and let it go.

How old are each of you and what are your professions?

Allan is 25 and works in Real Estate. Jordana is 22 and is currently in her 3rd year of nursing school.
