When someone is planning to do their bridal session, no one ever thinks that their fiancée is going to be the one to take the pictures!I had a photographer in mind who agreed to do my photo shoot, but on the day of the shoot, that person said they could no longer do the session. Eeekkk! I was panicking a bit because I already had my bouquet from the florist, and the hair and makeup stylists were scheduled to arrive in less than an hour to start prepping me.

I told Eric (my fiancée and photographer in crime) that I didn’t know what to do because there was no one available to take pictures for me on such short notice. He simply said “why don’t you just let me take your bridal photos?”I immediately rejected his comment because I desperately wanted to have that special moment with him at the first look on our wedding day. I was very attached to that idea, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that we were going to have that moment no matter where we were (turns out it was in our bedroom). I finally agreed to the idea, and Eric took my bridal portraits. After the pictures were finished, I loved them even more because he was the one to take them for me! During the session, he got smiles out of me that no one else could have, and it makes me realize that even when things don’t go according to plan, it always turns out in the end.
