As hometown high school sweethearts, Julia and Eric’s wedding gave nod to their roots from the fact that it was totally centered around their hometown of Dover, NH. Not only was it held in Dover at an incredible private home, but they utilized all Dover vendors, with the exception of me, from the florist to the catering to the makeup. It was truly a hometown affair, and the talent level was sky-high. Since Julia and Eric have been together for so many years already, their families knew each other well, and their ceremony was a sweet and meaningful combination of inside jokes and sentimental reflection on how far life has brought them. They did an impressive saber arch at the end of the ceremony. All the guests loved the wood-fired pizza that was baked onsite in a travel oven, and they danced the night away under a sailcloth tent. A special DIY feature to note is that Julia did all the lettering and calligraphy on the acrylic signs which were peppered throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. She enjoys doing calligraphy for weddings and so it was special for her to do her own signs.
