From the Photographer

I was blown away by Kayla & Miles wedding day. It was absolutely beautiful, but more than that it was the celebration of these two people coming together and their families. Kayla and Miles have been together for a long time and have been waiting to tie the knot at the perfect time when everyone could come together.

The amazing Kualoa Ranch wedding venue showcase the beauty of Hawaii with views of the ocean, Chinaman’s Hat, and the incredible Ko’olau Mountain Range overlooking the landscape. With Korean and Japanese traditions celebrated in a Hawaii setting, there was amazing fashion with each mother wearing their traditional attire and coming together for their children’s union. The amazing Taiko drum performance by Mile’s father and a good luck Japanese Lion Dance were the highlights of the reception. And of course, everyone partying the house down!

I think seeing the bride & the groom come up for a surprise drum performance was my favorite moment I’ve ever witnessed on a wedding day in my many years as a wedding photographer. They were beautifully in sync and the Kayla in her wedding attire rocking the drums was a crowd pleaser!
