Kristina and Mark’s wedding had some of the most fabulous details! From the rich velvet bridesmaids dresses, to the amazing florals by Bessie’s Floral – it was a dream winter wedding. This wedding was complete with gorgeous furs, unique colors, and rose gold jewelry accents that will leave any bride planning their wedding around these photos.

Going into this wedding we were super excited because we know Kristina and her family well, and love them to pieces. Kristina’s parents are videographers and we find ourselves working with them a lot on wedding Saturdays. We have always gotten along with them so well, and they are the sweetest people, and we are so honored out of all the photographers in the world they chose us to document their special day.

On the morning of the wedding, for the first time in 9 years of shooting weddings I was super sick. The night before I was hit by a stomach bug and spent the entire night trying to talk myself into going into the Emergency Room for care. We have never missed a wedding before and I was in tears as I was trying to find someone to replace us the morning of this wedding. However, the replacements didn’t work out and I ended up making it to the wedding and had Andrea Martin (Andrea Martin Photography) come in to 2nd shoot the reception and I was so glad that I did.

After the ceremony and portraits, I collapsed behind the DJ booth and let Andrea and Jason shoot the entire reception and I was never worried because the two of them did an incredible job and I cannot thank them enough for stepping up for me. Despite being so incredibly sick, I am so glad that I was able to make it to Kristina and Mark’s wedding because these details were basically my dream wedding to shoot. It snowed on and off the entire day and all the snow you see in these photos is real – it was the perfect picture taking snow.
