From the Photographer

An Irish bride and a French groom, Lisa and Romain decided to unite their two families with a bilingual ceremony at a stunning chateau in Montpellier, France. After getting ready at two separate locations, they saw each other for the first time that day as Lisa came down the aisle in a wooded area near the chateau. At the end of their ceremony, read in both English and in French by two of the couple’s close friends, Lisa and Rom partook in a sand pouring to symbolize their combined future together.

Afterwards, they celebrated with food, drinks and live music, and Lisa’s friend Margot took over the mic to sing a heartfelt song for the couple just before dinner began. Upon entering the dinner space, guests saw the memorial table that Lisa had created in memory of her mom and Lisa carried a locket with her mom’s photo on her bouquet all day, too. The couple planned group activities to take place throughout the dinner service and finished up with one last game: Instead of a traditional first dance, they wanted everyone to kick off the dancing together, so they asked one group of guests to leave their shoes in the center of the dance floor and then the rest of the guests had to pick a pair of shoes, find their owner and dance with that person to the first song! After a few songs, Lisa and Romain paused for a cake cutting, and then got right back on the floor to dance the night away.
