How did you two meet?

At Lehigh University in 2002. I was a sophomore when he was a freshman, and we hit it off right away. After a couple of weeks of hanging out, he asked if I wanted to go his high school’s homecoming game and meet his mom. I did, and we were friends for a long time. We always had a mutual respect and love for one another but the relationship didn’t really take off until I moved 2,000+ miles away, when I was in dental school. Classic!

Tell us all about the proposal!

We were getting ready to go out to dinner and Andrew was ready well before me, which was not typical. He told me to take my time and he’d wait downstairs. When I finally walked downstairs he came up to me, reached for my hands and told me how much loved me and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Then he got down on one knee and proposed. I cried, a lot.

Describe the wedding planning process. Why did you choose the vendors you worked with?

We did extensive online research and talked with several photographers, videographers, florists, and wedding planning vendors. The result was an amazing group of vendors who came together to make our wedding day special.

How was your wedding day? The more details you can provide, the better! Please also describe your design and decor choices.

Our wedding day was perfect, in part due to the vendors, the venue, the weather cooperating in a big way, but most importantly because of our awesome guests. We had so much fun celebrating with everyone!

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Walking out of St Patrick’s after the ceremony and seeing hundreds of guests and strangers spilling out and across the street, cheering for us.

What advice would you give newly engaged couples?

Surround yourself with vendors who you are truly excited to see on your wedding day. Their energy around you on your big day will have an affect on you! Pick people who are positive and awesome to be around.

How old are each of you and what are your professions?

We’re both 35, I’m a general dentist and Andrew is a product development engineer and cofounder of a bamboo board and bike rack company called Grassracks.

How did Vision Event Co. help you to make your wedding day possible?

The better question is what DIDN’T Vision Event Co. do! Daniela and her team were incredible. We wanted to do a “First touch/First prayer” photo before the ceremony without seeing each other and coordinating that took a lot of effort. Getting everyone from The Lotte to St. Patrick’s and then to The Boathouse was a challenge, but it was handled seamlessly. Making sure all of the details were figured out ahead of time, that vendors were coordinated, making sure we ate, making sure the day was a breeze were all things Vision Event Co. did… and executed perfectly. I’m so grateful for Daniela and her team!!
