-How We Met-

December 2009

I met Brandon my senior year of high school, his sophomore year of college. I was a dual enrollment student at the local community college and posted something about being bored in class on my Facebook page. Brandon began to comment on my status essentially wanting to know which campus I was on as he was also sitting in class. We ended up being on opposite campus’ and I never thought twice about our short conversation. Shorty after that, he reached out to me again. After some back and forth conversations I agreed to a movie. Nearly nine years later, we are finallllly getting married!!

-The Proposal-

December 7, 2017

I was in Denver for work and Brandon flew out a few days later so we could go skiing in Breck for what I thought was his birthday trip. That Thursday I went into work for a few hours and then met Brandon for our drive to the mountains. Our hotel was not ready for check-in so I thought nothing of it when he said we were going to go to “this place” he found online. We arrived at the same place I had booked our snow mobile tour for Brandon’s birthday two days later so I thought we were just going to go early. A short time later a horse and sleigh pulled up and it started to snow. We pulled over and I got out to wander around. I was actually trying to see over the edge of a cliff and almost ran directly into the photographer hiding in a tree about three feet in front of me. Brandon called me over to him, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! I said, “Of course!”
