From the Photographer

Just your typical high school sweethearts, a football player and cheerleader. It took 9 years and a few years of denial but now they are married! They had a really hard time agreeing on a venue because both SarahRose and Jay have completely different design aesthetics. The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve really allowed for them to each fulfill their design dreams and there were so many stunning stone buildings on the property we got a chance to be creative.

We love how they really embraced the winter theme without going over the top. There weren’t snow flakes or icicles around but with the fur shawls and clean elegant white florals with hints of gold and silver its clear that this wedding is meant to be experienced in chilly temps. I love the story of Jay’s velvet tux jacket as told by SarahRose “Jay wasn’t picky about anything that pertained to our wedding until it came to his outfit. He had seen a picture of a velvet tux jacket somewhere online and decided that was the look he HAD to have. We searched high and low for a jacket but realized if it was all going to match, we would have to get a custom tux made for the diva himself. We met Jimmy from Sagets at our Finley tasting and knew we had to meet with him one on one and discuss what we wanted. He was so awesome to speak with and his work spoke for itself! We went in with ideas and he literally made Jay’s dream tux come true and more. He had a full velvet jacket, paisley liner, with special embroidery of our initials and wedding date, pants that matched perfectly, and even a custom monogrammed shirt! Dressed to the nine’s is an understatement when it came to Jays’ look.”
