From the Event Planner

How many couples can say it was their grandmother who played matchmaker in their relationship? Well that was certainly the beginning of Sydney and Ryan’s love story. Sydney’s grandma, who had been a longtime friend and neighbor of Ryan’s, was the catalyst for their meeting. Grandma just knew they would be a perfect fit and she was right!

Sydney is what we would call a real life cowgirl! She is a barrel racer and loves her horses as well as the country. So when it came time for the couple’s wedding, they knew without a doubt that they wanted to get married at her aunt and uncle’s farm in Fuquay-Varina. The Adcock Farm provided for the wedding of their dreams.

Sydney’s delicate, sleeveless, lace dress was paired with her beautiful turquoise boots, in which she feels most comfortable. It was a perfect representation of the bride herself—feminine, gorgeous with a little bit of grit. She chose an array of fall colors for her bridesmaids, giving each the freedom to choose her own dress. The combination was stunning. Paired with bouquets of greenery, they framed the bride beautifully and fit into the natural landscape of the farm. Sydney’s bouquet was wild and beautiful, just like the bride herself. It was a combination of natural grasses, greens, feathers and just the right amount of exquisite flowers. Ryan chose navy for his groomsmen and his one special “groomswoman” wore a lacy, powder blue dress. The kids in the wedding party were decked out in white dress shirts, jeans, suspenders and prairie dresses. And of course—boots.

The ceremony took place in a grove of trees overlooking one of the farm’s beautiful pastures. A one-of-a-kind free standing, wooden geometric piece was the backdrop for the couple’s nuptials. The wedding party moved into an open air tent for the reception. Lit by candles and market lights, it was glamorous, while still giving the guest the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the outdoor evening. Each of the beautiful farm tables was laden with lots of greens, candles, wood, feathers and a little bit of glitz atop a runner of whispy, white cheesecloth. The tables were set with Hobnob Occasion’s unique, mismatched vintage china and mason jars. Sydney and Ryan chose to sit at a white sweetheart table, with a wall of vintage, metal ceiling tiles as their backdrop and with a view of all of their friends and family. The atmosphere had the celebratory feel of the best family reunion.

And nothing could end this incredible night of dancing and partying better than surprise fireworks over the farm. It was a truly unforgettable ending to a beautiful day and the beginning of a life of love together.
