From the Photographer

This was a beautiful blending of two families. You wouldn’t know it by looking at the three daughters, but they are stepsisters. The deep love this family had for each other was overwhelming. You could really see it show on everyone’s faces during the ceremony. Spoiler alert… tears will be shed. I think my favorite question I most frequently get asked is “Do you like being a wedding photographer?” My answer is always the same and its weddings like this that really emphasize it! “I LOVE IT!!!!!” I get to share one of the most beautiful and happy days of this beautiful family’s lives! It’s truly an honor and I get to take soooo many pretty photos! See for yourself. Thanks for letting me do what I love! Much Love, Sean

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette?

We just wanted it to be easy and fun. Our color palette was black, silver and grey… I’ve always wanted black in our wedding.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?

Black, silver and grey. We made 130 little candy boxes which took forever to make.

What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

I did black (dark purple) and white lilies in my bouquet… my daughters had white lilies.

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

Yes we had a pizza food truck… we LOVE pizza and wings! It was the best decision we could have made. We also did cannons after our ceremony which was absolutely amazing and our guests loved it and made our wedding very unique.

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

With my dress, I knew what I wanted but I pretty much tried on every dress I could just to make sure. My dress was much more plain then I thought, no bling, but the back was to die for… an open back which showed off my body (my husband loves my body) so a plus for him. His suit was all black with a very clean look. My daughters were my mini bridesmaids with all black dresses and we brightened the dresses up with silver high heels for the younger girls and black for the older daughter.

How did you meet?

We met at work… his brother is the owner (didn’t even know he had a brother or was married). My husband thought his brother had hired a model for the shop (me, with bright Little Mermaid red hair) so he came over to talk to me asking who I was. He came to the shop as I was working and messing up the machine that I worked on and was flirting with me and we just kinda fell in love from there.

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

My husband’s was waiting for me to come down the aisle. Mine was walking to my husband and the I Do’s and saying our vows to our daughters.

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

Don’t stress on the wedding day… just relax and if something doesn’t turn out the way you thought, just run with it and let it flow… Communication is key!!!!!!! Don’t let anyone ruin your wedding, do it the way you want it!!!
