In the Spring of 2012, Aaron and I met through a mutual friend. We began to hang out every day and eventually became very good friends. It was inevitable; we couldn’t stay just friends for very long — we started dating in the Summer of 2012 and have been a dynamic duo ever since! Together, we bring out each others’ best parts and inspire each other both creatively, and intellectually. We are truly blessed. We look forward to creating a lifetime of memories together, especially with you — our family and friends!

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day?

I wanted a classic black and gold theme with flowers that made a statement. We incorporated protias with classic roses and fresh eucalyptus. We kept the ceremony very simple and quick so we could enjoy as much time as we could with our guests.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?

All the decor was custom selected to match the classic gold theme. We used a bunch of local makers for our signage, favors, and corn hole boards.

What were the florals like in your wedding?

I really wanted the flowers to be the main decoration so we really went crazy with them. We incorporated 10 types of flowers into the arrangements that we used for centerpieces, bouquets, and the ceremony back drop.

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

The caricature artist and photo booth were my favorite parts of the wedding because it allowed guests to interact and have fun in a unique way.

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look?

I wanted it to be classic and elegant. I went with a lot of lace details with gold accents to match the gold decor.

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

Aaron and I met through a mutual childhood friend. We became good friends right away and before we knew it we because inseparable. On October 13th, 2016, Aaron and I went to the Lightning home opener as we do every year. During the game, Aaron told me to look up and on the jumbotron he proposed to me. OF COURSE I SAID YES! 🙂

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

The first look. It was so special to share that intimate moment with my husband.

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

Sit back and take it all in! The day goes by so quick.
