Zhanna and Seth got married in the center of Philadelphia at the Logan Hotel to a gorgeously decorated ballroom and ceremony under the stars. As a New York City based wedding photographer I don’t get the opportunity to visit Philly often for work, but when I do I absolutely love it. The Logan Hotel is set right in the middle of Center City Philadelphia surrounded by so much history. Just a short walk from the hotel lobby are so many opportunities for great portraits of the bride and groom.

Zhanna got ready in a gorgeous suite with her mom and puppy. Because when you’re getting married, you need all your loved ones with you! Zhanna looked stunning in the moody light of the hotel room and before long it was time to meet Seth at the Rodin museum for a first look. The Rodin has manicured lawns and clean lines which make it the perfect backdrop for photos of the bride and groom. We met back up with the bridal party on the rooftop of the hotel for some more portraits before their cocktail hour was underway. At some weddings, cocktail hour takes place before the ceremony and I love the way it gets all the weddings guests in the mood to celebrate before sitting down. As the sun set, the guests were led to the courtyard for a ceremony under the stars, literally. It was so dark and intimate and their chuppah glowed under the moon.

Back inside the ballroom had been absolutely decked out with white florals and took the guests’ breath away. You know they’re impressed when everyone starts taking selfies in front of their tables. Their band knew how to get things rolling and with some theatrical lighting their first dance was a spectacle. Soon the dance floor was full of their friends and family. The night couldn’t conclude without some night photos of the bride and groom in front of the iconic City Hall. This is a must have shot in Philadelphia and I was happy they were willing to peel away from their amazing party to do so.
