Late autumn in Ireland is a gorgeous time, full of beautiful golden sun and warm rich colors. It’s also a time of cosy evenings by the fire and the sweet expectation of Christmas indulgence. Taking inspiration from the colors of autumn, the sweetness of honey and the richness of chocolate we created a stylish and luxurious styled wedding. Wrights Anglers Rest, a gorgeous traditional Irish restaurant was our perfect venue, giving us a very warm welcome (in both senses of the word!) Its wedding reception room is simply stunning, with low sun coming through the windows and playing on the gold décor and crystal chandeliers. The place is both homey and luxurious at the same time, and the style we chose fit perfectly.

We used a palette of warm autumnal colors such as deep red, burnt orange and saffron yellow. Austen Flowers created amazing table and easel arrangements, groom’s buttonholes, bridal bouquets, a flower crown and an autumnal tree masterpiece. We used gold and crystal for the table setting, with bespoke stationery from As You Wish in hues of orange and chocolate. Of course no Chocolate & Honey wedding would be complete without real chocolate and honey! Little honey jars from a local beekeeper’s make for unique and sweet wedding favors. As for the rich chocolate cake, all of us simply swooned over this indulgent beauty by Cakes Sugar Babies created with Belgian chocolate, hazelnuts, fun Irish candy and real honeycomb!

Our models are a real couple, which made the whole shoot so much more fun, sweet and authentic. You can see it in Naoise’s eyes that he fell even deeper in love with Miranda on that day. The groom’s tweed outfit in chocolate hues was made by Tango’s Dress Hire, and we totally think that brown suits will be finding their way back into fashion soon! We used some colorful neckwear and buttonholes to make a bold and fun statement.

The bride’s look was created by amazing Roisin Dempsey (makeup) and Michelle Lynch (hair). They went for two very different looks – a glamorous smoky-eye image with loose curls and a stunning tight-fitted lace dress, and a soft romantic upstyle look with a gorgeous dark ivory A-silhouette wedding gown with a matching lace jacket, perfect for an autumn wedding. Both dresses are from the beautiful collection by the Town Bride. The bridal looks were complete with bespoke contemporary jewelery by Juvi Designs who use colorful gems and take inspiration from Irish nature.
