From the Event Planner

Rainforests, Shark Tanks and dancing under the stars were the highlights of this wedding styled shoot. When one thinks of a Wedding Experience, they instantly think of photo booths with props, an interactive DJ, and the biggest floral centerpieces that you can imagine. While we love and enjoy all of those elements, a different type of wedding experience is what our team set out to create with models, Kristin and Ameiya. Our ultimate goal was to show brides and grooms that a real wedding experience and luxury can coexist without being overly themed and straying from their vision of elegance and excellence.

Our Wedding Styled Shoot took place in the evening at the Dallas World Aquarium. Capitalizing on the uniqueness of the venue’s Orinoco Rainforest for the ceremony and utilizing the  Endangered Species Gallery and Veranda that overlooks Downtown Dallas and displays the 1.5-million-dollar (est.) Andy Warhol’s complete Endangered Species Serigraph collection for the reception, we honed in on every single detail that would highlight both spaces.  The 2019 wedding trends were key in the Wedding Planner and Designer creating the design concept and ultimate wedding experience. We begin with a bold and under-utilized color scheme featuring a variety of Pantone’s Color of the Year, coral- added lavender, emerald green, and pops of white then hand selected modern and designer wedding essentials and decor. We incorporated layering textures with the linen, concrete charger plates, Vera Wang Marble Coupe Dinner Plates, and Goa White and Gold Utensils to provide the modern element while Shantung and Velvet Linen, Acrylic Chairs and Menus, Lux Glassware, and Glass Candelabras took the luxury to a whole new level. The baker/cake artist elevated the look by providing a marbled and layered hand painted cake.

After hair and makeup Kristin and Ameiya begin their extraordinary experience. They described their evening at the aquarium with the photographer and videographer as an adventure. As they entered the ceremony space, the penguins play and birds chirp. The sounds of the waterfall at the Orinoco Rainforest created a calming and romantic atmosphere for ceremony photos while the Mundo Maya shark tank created an exciting opportunity to get some candid photos with the manatee and saw shark for a true aquarium experience. At the end the night, our DJ played music as Kristin and Ameiya danced with the Downtown Dallas cityscape behind them, they ate beautifully designed geode cookies and opened a custom crafted wedding box for an end of the night surprise. This Modern Luxe Aquarium styled shoot is an example of what a wedding should not only look like but what it should feel like.
