Madison and Jake are a relatively new-ish couple but they love doing photo shoots together. Madison, a former model, is a real-life mermaid (she has multiple fish tails and works to spread knowledge of water conservation at the Austin Aquarium) so Pedernales Falls was a cool nod to her passion. She and Jake met through a church outing last summer and have been inseparable ever since. They were the perfect couple to photograph our new yellow tulle skirt! We buy tulle skirts from all over the world and loan them to our clients and brides who want to wear something special for their engagement sessions.
We met at a faith-based group called Celebrate Recovery where we were both were working on bettering ourselves and growing closer to God.
Our relationship is beyond special because we both base the foundation of our love on God and our faith. We both value our relationship with Jesus and our Lord and Savior more than we value our own worldly wants and needs. Our morals and ethics perfectly line up and this is definitely the man that I will spend the rest of my life with. We can’t wait to further grow our family after marriage and raise little leaders of our own. Jake and I both love the outdoors and spending some quality time with Gods creations. We plan to travel the world helping out the less fortunate, specifically victims of human and sex trafficking and the homeless.
When I first laid eyes on him, I knew he would play a huge role in my life. However, we started out completely innocent just helping one another to grow stronger in our relationships with God. I wanted something more from our first couple of interactions but I knew that it was all up to faith and God if that was going to happen. So I just prayed about it, because my heart knew he would be someone very important to me but just didn’t know what pivotal role he would end up playing.
We have vowed to spend the rest of our lives with one another already. We made some vows to one another, under God and promised to forever cherish and love our new family unit. This special moment happened in Portland when we were on a little getaway and since then we have been bonded as One.
We haven’t journeyed onto getting that ring, YET! Instead of spending a lot of money on this special ring and an expensive wedding we are using that money to start our own non-profit called Holy Trailblazers. The money that would have been spent on that is now being allocated so that ALL of Gods people can benefit from it. We will 100% be getting married and celebrating our love in the traditional way but we want to put others needs before our own wants right now. The time is soon, but we have some work to do first with establishing this foundation and helping others in need!
We both are very excited to get married. However, we want to make sure that we plan it and execute it in a manner that is pleasing to God and not just the world. We want our family to share this special moment with us but we aren’t going to spend too much money on expenses because we want this moment to be intimate with one another and with God. We really want to keep our priorities straight and our wallet happy so that we can share our wealth with those in need. We have won the lottery in finding and forever loving one another, so it’s time to give back to Gods people and help those who really need it.
