From the Event Planner

Typically, Colorado summers aren’t a great option for photo shoots (hello busy vendors), but 2020 is no average summer! With the recent addition of an incredible new event space, Ironton Distillery was itching to get some content going and a photoshoot was born!

With such a cool physical space, the unique and tropical inspired vision came together pretty seamlessly. Ironton blends the natural with the industrial, combining beautiful iron and metal structures/tables/chairs with lush greenery and natural wood elements. We decided to pull from these incredible features to create an urban oasis with the use of tropical flowers and inspired decor! It wasn’t long before we had a killer vendor team in place too, Coloradans are eager to get back into some creativity and wedding magic!

When we arrived on the day of the shoot, we started by setting up the incredible floral ceremony backdrop in Ironton’s private space, “the backyard.” Brenda of Daisy’s Front Porch did an amazing job of bringing our vision to life and then some! The vases, colors, and stems she picked were the perfect representation of a lush paradise! Of course, we HAD to bring in some of the metal and industrial elements of Ironton, and we did so with some beautiful gold and copper accents, modern cake, and architectural dress! The pop of color in the makeup – the perfect extra touch! By the time our hair and makeup artist was done, our first few setups were complete and the photos could begin in full force! We were able to really take our time with each piece, one of the amazing things about photo shoots.

By the end of the night, we had a plethora of incredible images, had shared a lot of laughs and were so happy that we could pull off some wedding magic in the middle of a crazy and confusing Summer! If you’re considering changing your wedding plans and having a more intimate celebration, hopefully this inspires you to create your own urban (or mountain, or lakeside, or backyard) paradise! Ironton is a great option for any bride, and their house made spirits (which pull from their grown botanicals) and catering options make it an easy planning process!
