In my opinion, you should always be yourself unless you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn! Unicorns are massively popular and I was inspired to do a styled shoot inspired by unicorns because I just knew something light and whimsical would look super pretty. The idea was to piece something together which was not too childish, not too realistic, just the right touch of candyfloss colours, glitter and enchantment – inspired by unicorns but not featuring any directly.

I (Jade from Let’s Bee Together) came up with a mood board full of pastel and iridescent colours and worked with a fantastic team of talented wedding vendors to put it all together. I am a huge lover of light and airy photography so Cristina Ilao was the perfect photographer for this styled shoot – I couldn’t have asked for better photos!! The whole shoot turned out really well with lots of fairytale feeling elements from the swinging cake stand, to the romantic lace boots, to the iridescent glassware on the tablescape, this shoot really had it all and I adored every element of the day.

– The dress was custom made especially for the shoot with a multicolored pastel train – stunning!

– I started planning the shoot at 6 months pregnant and it took place three weeks before my son was born, so I was heavily pregnant on the day of shooting.

– There were two different bridal looks – one featuring pink earrings, lace shoes and hair down. Then the other had blue earrings, lace boots, hair up and gems as part of the makeup to make it a little bit different!

– The original arranged florist dropped out two days before the styled shoot and All Bunched Up quickly stepped in to help us out and I think the bouquet is gorgeous and perfect for the theme.

– The swinging cake stand was made specially for this shoot.
