Here we are celebrating the Open House of an amazing new business in the city of North Richland Hills, Texas, The Urban Firehouse. Owner/designer, Ginger Curtis, took a vacant old firehouse and turned it into a chic new event space that also houses the offices of her design business, Urbanology Designs. Guests, including NRH Mayor, Oscar Trevino, enjoyed getting a sneak peek of the Urban Firehouse as they listened to the sounds of Kingdom Vibe and enjoyed a gourmet menu prepared by celebrity chef, Carole Ritchie.

Even Fire Engine Quint 221 got in on the action as a few crew members parked the engine in the drive for photo opportunities. Crew member, M. Sullivan, had previously worked at the old fire station and reminisced about her days at the renovated space. It was an amazing night and the Urban Firehouse is great addition to the City of North Richland Hills!

Tell us all about the planning details! What planning went into the event? How long was the process?

We spent about 4 months planning our grand opening celebration. Great food, music and photography were at the top of our list for must haves!

What are you celebrating at this event and why did you want a photographer to capture this party?

Our grand opening. We wanted the photographer to capture our guests not only experiencing the event, but the building itself. We wanted to capture and highlight all the things that make the Urban Fire House unique.

Who attended the party? (friends, family, colleagues, etc.)

Friends, family, colleagues, the Mayor, the city council and as well as the NRH fire Department.

How and why did you choose the setting of your event?

We own and operate the venue so it was a pretty easy decision.

What were some values or themes you wanted your photographer to capture at your party?

We wanted her to capture the joy of our guests in the space.

What was your favorite picture from the day, and why?

A beautiful outside shot when the fire truck pulled up to our building, it was an incredible shot.
